How to update your contact details
Here’s what you need to do if you get a message by text, email, or letter from us asking you to check your details.
Step 1: Open the link
- click the link in the message
- if a screen opens with information on it, just click Close to carry on.
Step 2: Enter the code
- we’ll send you a code by text, email, or letter
- type the code into the box on the screen
- click Confirm Code, then Next
- if the code is wrong, you’ll see a message - check it and try again.
Step 3: Enter your postcode
- type your postcode carefully, using the correct format
click Next - if the postcode is right, you’ll see a list of addresses, choose your full address from the list
- if no addresses appear, the postcode may be wrong - re-enter it and try again.
Step 4: Confirm who you are
- you’ll be asked to enter your last name
- you may also be asked to check some details we already have
- if the details don’t match, you’ll see a message telling you something is wrong.
Step 5: Send your details
- check the information shown on the screen
- if it’s correct, click Yes to send the form
- if it’s not correct, click No and follow the instructions to update it.
